Home at last

Ok, I guess “at last” is not really necessary, since I was only away Monday to Friday. But it sure felt longer. I really miss my time just being at home… except when there’s a mound of post-travelling washing like there was this weekend.

Anyway, here is the present for my mother that I was talking about in my last post. The yarn is by Katia, called Gatsby. Doesn’t it look rather Gatsbyish to you? It does to me.

And here it is, in-situ in it’s new home. Do you like it? Do you like the terrarium? I think it’s really cool, and I want one!

We couldn’t resist a picture with my mum’s new snails, bought back from Venice. They too look happy with their new mandala.

PS Moo is very happy to have me home, just in case you were wondering….

  1. SO pretty… And I do love your Mum’s terrarium too! And although it is right off track, I ā¤ the splashback in the kitchen, That is simply divine!

    • Thanks Suse! Yes, the splashback is new and MOST impressive. I’ll have to show you next time you’re over. Oh, and I’m coveting the terrarium (she gets sick of things very quickly). x

  2. I have just come across your blog and really like it! You will notice a lot of “Like”s being added and I think I will continue to your first post. I had to stop here though, not because of the terrarium, but because of that splash back! Can you post about that šŸ™‚ I want to see a photo!

    • Haha! Thanks for the lovely comments and likes šŸ˜€ The splash back is in my mum’s kitchen in her apartment in Melbourne. It’s made up of Italian glass mosaic tiles, and was specially designed – it’s gorgeous, isn’t it? I’ll make sure I get a good shot of it next time I’m visiting.
