Ever since I made my own hot water bottle cover, husband has been waiting very patiently for his own version.
I thought I better get started before winter comes to an end! π
I’m really liking these colours together. I don’t normally put blue and green together, but there are so many colours in this Stylecraft yarn that there always seems to be just the right shade.
I suppose I should start the other side now. Repeats are just never as much fun ….
your colours combo is delicious!
I really agree with your feelings : repeats are just never as much fun….
xxxxx Ale
Thankyou! Yes, I also have one fingerless glove, and three unmatched coasters… I do have trouble with repetition, ha!
Repeats are good for queues or waiting rooms…. π
Oh yes, good point, ha! For times when you don’t want to have to think…
Love your colour combo. And for my money, there’s plenty of winter yet in store. π
Thankyou! Yes, it sure is feeling like there’s plenty of winter left here in Melbourne, sigh!
That’s looking very nice!!!
Thankyou very much x
So pretty!!!!! I know what you mean, making a few sides for my fingerless gloves and it’s just not the same after a while. I’m sure your husband will love this!
Thankyou! Yes, I too have half of a pair of fingerless gloves waiting for a match. π
To be honest – I never thought about crocheting a WB cover in two halfs. To have a granny square in the middle is a great idea! Can’t wait to see how you proceed. Is there a pattern somewhere or does it come “straight from your head”?
Hi Carina. I kind of made this up as I went along, but I have sketched out a basic pattern. Once I finish and join it together I’ll write up some instructions ~ hopefully not too hard to follow. I should have it done by next weekend fingers crossed.
Take your time. It’s summer in Berlin and I hope it stays that way for a long, long time so I won’t need a water bottle in the near future! And as I am following you in warm times and cold … π
Whoever coined the phrase “blue and green should never be seen” didn’t see this beautiful creation of yours – the colours are stunning!! So glad I’m not the only one who struggles a little with repeats! Just imagine how lovely for you and hubby to have his and hers handmade crochet hot water bottle covers!! Gorgeous.
