I made these granny squares as part of the Slugs on the Refrigerator Crochet Camp. It was still in the deep dark depths of winter. I think bunting portrays such a wonderful promise of warmer weather to come, don’t you?
These bunting lengths are not yet in their final position. They’re to go in the light-well down the side of our house. It’s home to old doors, mirrors and slightly wild succulents. I think these colours will match nicely. Once we’ve done a little more spring gardening and the light-well is looking respectable, I’ll take some more pictures.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely week. It’s Friday night here in Australia… I love the promise of a Friday night… wondering what the weekend will hold. I hope yours holds an adventure or two, and at least a little crochet ๐
they are beautiful!!!!!!
xxxxx Ale
Thanks so much Ale xx
oohhh.. this is so so pretty.. ahhh… i think is time to make one for myself too.. ๐
Thankyou! Yes, it’s so much fun to crochet, and so speedy – I do love instant gratification.
Gorgey!!!Just wondering how you joined the squares and the chain??? Im liking bunting too and feel I need to have a crack!!
Thanks so much! What I do is make a chain, then DC (UK terminology) across one side of the square, then keep chaining to the next one.
They’re so pretty. Look forward to seeing them in situ. Wags from Molls to Moo.
Thanks so much! I spent the weekend cleaning out the lightwell ready to hang them.. so hopefully next weekend, as long as the weather holds out. ๐

They are just beautiful, and I love how your colored the photo!
Thanks so much Janette! I actually didn’t colour the photos – we just so happen to have a very boring grey fence, haha! ๐
Wow that’s awesome!
