Hello friends
First things first, a big thank you for the lovely comments on my last post. Sometimes I forget that there are *real* people out there reading, and it continually surprises me what a nice community there is in the world of crafters / dog lovers. π
Well I couldn’t help myself, I really did need a small diversion from the yarn-bomb-in-progress, and what nicer way than a little Christmas cheer. I’ve been rather jealous of two of my favourite bloggers / creators, who have both been busy making some gorgeous Christmas decorations here and here. I had every plan to be a good person and not evenΒ touch anything Chrismassy until my orange tree was complete, but all good plans are made to be broken, aren’t they? Please say yes! π
Really though, I didn’t feel like I had much choice with this little decoration. I thought of it whilst in the middle of my fifth orange square of the day, and next thing you know… we had begun.
For the holly I used Lucy’s Holly Pattern. As usual with Lucy, this design is simple, easy to follow, and gives just the right result. The rest of the pattern, well it was just kind of made up as I went along.
My head is filled now, with other decorative Christmas ideas ~ maybe the yarn-bomb-fairies will come over night and put me out of my misery!
Moo is very pleased to be back in front of the camera, can you tell? She just got back from a lovely long Sunday morning walk to a new off-lead dog park. Hopefully that means she’ll be happy to snooze quietly for the rest of the day so I can crochet in peace.
Love Terri and Moo xxx
Your ornament is adorable and I love the look of your yarn!! When I got to the last bear for my clients ten bears she ordered I was so sick of doing them and just wanted to be done! What’s funny and silly of me is that I whipped up another one for a gift! Hope you and Moo have a relaxing day! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Ha! That’s so funny about the bears. I bet you can do them with pattern now. Hugs to you and Bear xxx
Yes, indeed – plans, as with rules, are made to be broken! And look at the results in this case – just gorgeous! Very festive! So wonderful to see sweet Moo chilling out. I hope the yarn bomb fairies pay you a visit tonight, too. Dani x
Thankyou! Yes, Moo seems to become happier with every year. Honestly, there is not a day that goes past that her happiness doesn’t rub off on me. π
That is such a sweet little ornament! So cute!
Thanks very much! π
The ornaments are lovely. They almost made me want to decorate this year, Very lovely work.
Thankyou so much. I’m planning a set of three – all different but using the same colours. π
Very cute Christmas decoration…. Maybe some for the office???
The little bauble is gorgeous with the holly leaves. Smart move tiring Moo out so that you don’t have to crochet with his head in your lap. WIsh I could do the same with the cats…!
Ha! Yes, whilst I don’t have a cat, I’ve seen enough photos of them draped over keyboards / knitting to know what you mean. π
I love your ornament!! And your photography. Thank you for mentioning my little blog.. I am so over the moon. Let’s all get Christmassy together! I am SO excited.

Thankyou! I’m so glad you like it. It’s lovely to hear from you ~ and so nice to have somebody else who loves Christmas as much as I do! π
Moo looks very chilled!
Yes, she’s such a happy little soul. π
Gorgeous, love the pastel pink with holly, such an unusual contrast.
Thanks so much! I really don’t love red and green so much, so I thought I’d add my favourite colour and see if that helped. π
