Granny Square Weekly

Week One

Well, it’s a new year, and time for a new something-or-other weekly, I think. And because I don’t seem to have a lot of success finishing projects that are crocheted in rows, granny squares are the obvious choice.

I will also admit, just quietly, that one of my New Years Resolutions is to decrease my yarn stash by *cough* 100 balls. Oops! I’m not sure I actually want to see that in print. I did start this resolution a little early, in September I think, so I’m most pleased to be able to say I’m already minus 27 balls. Yes, you’re right, I’m feeling all good and wholesome!

    • Thanks Lisa! Yes, I’m having a really hard time staying out of the yarn stores, but now that I’m keeping a tally of yarn, I really don’t want the total to go back up, haha! Terri and Moo x

    • Thankyou! I have lots of Cascade Ultra Pima in cream, so I’m going to try to use cream in most squares – hopefully that will be enough “matching” for when I join them all together.

  1. As I can only really do granny squares obviously I love them, your colour scheme is so fresh, note to self… get my learn to crochet books out 🙂

    • Oh yay, I bet that’s going to look gorgeous! I love that book too ~ actually, I think it’s my absolute favourite. I’m always looking through it for inspiration.

  2. Hi! Its a very pretty square..would prefer a written pattern as i have no access to the book wherein this pattern is printed. If you could be kind enough to share it here, ill be obliged.
    Thanks,
