This is the original bag, before the little purse.
The pattern is in the Patons Modern Crochet Book 1316. I used Patons Cotton Blend 8ply yarn. It’s actually quite a nice yarn, and at $3.90 a ball it’s less than half the price of Rowan Cotton Glace or Cascade Ultra Pima ~ my two favourites.
It’s a perfect size for yarn storage. As I’m sure you know, you can never have too many yarn-storing-receptacles.
In other news, last Saturday I went to the Melbourne Finders Keepers Market. This market is only on twice a year, at The Royal Exhibition Building ~ such a gorgeous old building.
I’ve never been before, and I must say I was excepting a lot from this market, as all “the people” say it’s the best. There are certainly some amazingly talented people out there, but there really wasn’t much in the way of yarn-craft ~ only a small amount of knitting and a little crochet.
I did buy a few items though! 😀 Some cute little notebooks from Dear Diary Designs, and a baby-safe necklace from Harper & Hudson ~ a brilliant idea if you haven’t seen them before.
Well, it’s Friday afternoon in Australia. I hope you all have a lovely weekend planned. I woke up at 3am this morning in a panic ~ so much crochet, so little time, sigh.
